London Woven Tote Collection

A seven-piece collection of woven bags that replace the ubiquitous canvas tote, inspired by classic London design and monuments, all handmade on a loom in Elna Marie Fortune’s Holborn studio. Only 14 were produced. This product was created as part of Atelier100's Drop01, a collection called Made of London.

Manufacturing story

Forgoing the canvas material and ironically disposable nature of the ubiquitous tote bag for UK-sourced wool, Elna has handwoven this collection on a loom at her Holborn workshop; each bag takes 6 hours (and a lot of patience) to weave by hand.

Elna-Marie

Elna-Marie specialises in woven textiles and works on a traditional loom out of her Holborn workshop. She balances a combination of neutral and dyed yarns to create a product that has a new and unique character. This novel approach gives every piece a unique, timeless quality.
